Our Dedication to Responsible Forestry
Clampitt Paper Company is proud to be the first Texas-based paper distributor certified by Bureau Veritas to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) standards. The Council promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial and economically viable forestry practices across the United States and around the world. Clampitt’s FSC certified papers are guaranteed to have passed from a certified mill onto a certified merchant.
To further protect our forests, Clampitt is certified to the requirements of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) developed by the American Forest & Paper Association. And unlike many foreign suppliers, all American mills are in full compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations.
In addition to FSC and SFI certifications, many papers carried by Clampitt Paper offer a deep array of environmentally friendly features. For example, several mills make papers using post- and pre-consumer recycled fibers, alternative fibers such as cotton, and elemental-chlorine-free (ECF) bleaching processes. Furthermore, these mills lead the industry research in alternative fuel resources such as wind power, hydro and biogas.
Clampitt Paper also offers FSC-certified envelopes from National Envelope, the first such recognized converter in the United States. End-users can purchase these envelopes from Clampitt Paper, ensuring a continuous flow through the certification chain.
