*Our regularly scheduled Paper School sessions at Clampitt Dallas are designed for working professionals in the graphic design, printing and corporate purchasing arenas. If you're looking for something tailored to college level students, please contact Tom Christian in Dallas at 214.638.3300.

While paper may seem relatively simple, there is a true science to selecting the right paper when developing project specifications. An uninformed decision can result in unhappy clients, unreadable text and unimpressed customers.

At the Clampitt Paper School, attendees learn the basics of paper manufacturing and economics, the differences between coated and uncoated stocks, industry terminology and much more. Classes are provided every quarter and each session lasts only a few hours. (We’ll even provide lunch.)

Have you ever seen your sales rep hold paper up to the light? We all do it, in restaurants, stores and your office. To the left, students check the formation of uncoated papers. Why? You'll have to sign up and come to class to find out!

Paper School is going on the road! Our experts in everything fibrous are on the move to schools and companies around the country, spreading paper love. At universities, we can teach your graphic design students all the paper basics, and it's free of charge! This is just the ticket for their level. Or, if you have a large group of employees that need to be in the know, we can tailor a session to your time constraints and experience level. We treat everyone to an abbreviated version of our famous half day Dallas session, highlighting paper making and different terms used in the biz.

The class of graphic design students spent an hour and a half with Don Clampitt and our VP, Tom Christian, focusing on the basics that everyone in graphics needs to know. Typically the duo doesn't go on the road together, but both of their daughters are Jayhawks. Rock chalk! Our Paper People have also visited Texas Tech and Baylor University.
